Cruising

Cruises offer unique benefits found in no other type of vacation. You can visit multiple ports, cities and islands and only unpack once. Days are spent exploring while you sail between destinations at night.

Each day you will wake up with a new destination to explore. The ports vary from private islands owned by the cruise lines to major cities of the world. Cruises are a wonderful value as well. Accommodations, meals and most of the activities on the ship are included in the price of your cruise. There are a variety of dining options. On most ships you’ll find gourmet dining, buffets, pizzerias, poolside grills, and ethnic food choices. Amenities range from swimming pools, spas, zip lines and parks to cooking demonstrations, dance classes and computer labs. Entertainment often includes Broadway style shows, piano bars, discos, lounges, poolside movie theaters, deck parties and casinos. Most cruise lines offer complimentary children’s programs with certified counselors and activities to appeal to each age group.

Ocean cruise ships vary in size from 1500 passengers to the newest mega ships carrying 5000 guests. Some ships cater to families, some to luxury travelers and others offer more specialized options. Itineraries are even more varied. Ocean cruises sail to ports along North American Coasts, the Caribbean, Mexico, the Panama Canal, Europe, Australia, South America, the South Pacific and Asia.

River cruising offers a completely different style of cruising than ocean going vessels. River cruise ships are very luxurious and intimate with less than 200 passengers. You will be able to see and visit ports along the way with many located in the heart of a city or village. River cruising itineraries include ports located in Europe, Asia, the Nile in Egypt and the Amazon in South America.
